Dave Makara has practiced in Pennsylvania since 1996, primarily representing clients in business litigation. Dave is an associate with Davis Bucco & Ardizzi, having joined the firm in 2006. Prior to joining the firm, Dave worked with a general practice firm in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania where, in addition to handling commercial litigation matters, he represented plaintiffs in personal injury matters and defendants in criminal cases. Dave thereafter worked with a large center city Philadelphia insurance defense firm, where he practiced in the Architects, Engineers and Contractors Liability Department.
Dave is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in History. After Penn State, Dave attended the Temple University School of Law. He was admitted to the Pennsylvania bar in November 1996 and was subsequently admitted to practice before the Federal District Court for Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Dave is an active member of the Penn State Alumni Association as well as the Philadelphia Construction Finance Management Association. Dave is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Montgomery County Bar Association. He regularly provides presentations to trade associations within the construction industry on topics including mechanics liens, construction contracts and the collection of payment due from owners and general contractors.
Dave has tried numerous cases before judge, jury and arbitration panels in Pennsylvania. He presently represents clients in construction industry and commercial matters throughout Pennsylvania, prosecuting and defending claims depending upon the needs of his clients. Dave also handles personal injury matters, representing persons injured due to the negligence of others.
